Read the landscape.

Azurite is a secondary copper mineral. Its presence tells a different mineralogical story from the original ore minerals: alteration can create new minerals after a deposit has formed.

The name on the label

A district name, a town name and a mine name describe different levels of a specimen’s provenance. Touissit and Bou Beker are associated within a wider district, but their names should not be exchanged on a label without evidence.

One question to keep

How precisely does the label distinguish the town, district and individual working?
